The assisted reproduction process affects both physically and psychologically, resulting in an impact in different areas:
- Cognitive
- rumination of thoughts, negative self-evaluations, flight/avoidance attitudes, social isolation, confrontation...
- Psychological
- feelings of denial, confusion, fear, sadness, emotional flattening, disbelief, guilt, excitability, restlessness...
- Physiological
- difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, low libido, anxious states...
All these feelings and aspects are normal in assisted reproduction processes, but it is important to identify when they become pathological and interfere with daily life, preventing it from developing naturally. In that case it is important to contact a psychology professional.
