Rekovelle is a drug used in women undergoing an ART cycle, exactly during ovarian stimulation for artificial insemination (AI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
The active ingredient of Rekovelle is folitropin delta, which is the hormone FSH obtained recombinantly in the laboratory.
Through the continuous administration of Rekovelle in an IVF cycle, the aim is to provoke multiple follicular development in the ovaries and obtain a greater number of mature eggs for fertilization.
Currently, there are 3 types of Rekovelle marketed that differ in the hormonal dose they contain: Rekovelle 12 mcg/0.36 ml, Rekovelle 36 mcg/1.08 ml and Rekovelle 72 mcg/2.16 ml.
This drug is administered subcutaneously with the help of a pre-filled pen that is easy to apply.
