Artificial insemination (AI) is one of the simplest assisted reproduction techniques and, therefore, is usually the first option for most couples with mild infertility. However, it will be necessary to meet a series of requirements or conditions in order to perform artificial insemination:
- Good ovarian reserve.
- Tubal patency.
- Good seminal quality.
- Woman under 36 years of age.
If these requirements are not met, it will be advisable to go directly to other assisted reproduction techniques such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).
