1 month pregnant: what is the size of the baby?

In the first month of pregnancy, the embryo implants in the mother's uterus and begins to develop. However, the beginning of pregnancy is usually counted from the date of the woman's last menstrual period (or LMP). For this reason, during this first month of pregnancy the woman will not yet have had a missed period and may not yet know that she is pregnant.

However, the woman may have started to notice some mild pregnancy symptoms due to the production of hCG hormone (the pregnancy hormone) by the embryo after implantation.
