Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder and, because of this, it often causes irregular periods. For this reason, PCOS can be the cause of a delay in menstruation.
However, apart from irregular menstruation, PCOS can have other symptoms such as acne or hirsutism, also caused by hormonal imbalances.
