Some couples decide to disregard the "three-month rule" and announce that they are expecting a baby soon after learning about it themselves. This decision can have certain advantages such as:
- Assimilating the changes that are coming by talking about it.
- Having support if something goes wrong in the pregnancy.
- Obtain complicity from other women around them who are pregnant or who have recently had a baby.
In addition, it is not necessary for the pregnant woman to hide certain changes in her habits or the typical discomforts of the first trimester.
