At 18 weeks gestation, the baby is 5 and a half months old. All its organs are already formed, the heart walls are established and its body continues to grow in length and weight.
The fetus is about 14-15 cm long and weighs about 160 grams. An 18-week baby is often compared in size to a sweet potato.
