Other common symptoms at 24 weeks’ gestation

By the 24th week of pregnancy, the increase in the size of the belly is already noticeable and the woman may start to feel more uncomfortable. In addition, you may experience some of these possible common symptoms in the 24th week of pregnancy:

  • Difficulty sleeping.
  • Leg discomfort due to fluid retention and swelling.
  • Gum problems.
  • Hot flushes.
  • Braxton Hicks contractions.

A woman should not worry about these Braxton Hicks contractions, as they do not mean she is in labour. Braxton Hicks contractions are irregular, do not increase in frequency or intensity, and are not painful (although they can be uncomfortable), which is different from labour contractions.
