In week 37 of pregnancy, the pregnant woman may lose her mucus plug. This is a secretion that acts as a barrier in the cervix to prevent the passage of microorganisms from the vagina into the uterus during pregnancy.
In addition, at 37 weeks pregnant, the woman may notice that Braxton Hicks contractions increase in frequency. However, it will be very important to know how to differentiate these contractions (more irregular) from true labor contractions (regular and with an increase in frequency and intensity).
