Three-dimensional ultrasound provides a sharper image than traditional 2D ultrasound. In addition, the colors are more vivid and help to better diagnose anomalies in the fetus. Therefore, 3D ultrasound is more informative.
Another advantage of this three-dimensional imaging test is that the information can be stored and studied at a later date. In this way, specialists could pool their opinions about the image.
