Removing cervical mucus before performing an embryo transfer in an assisted reproduction treatment such as ICSI is a practice that has raised doubts and controversy.
Therefore, this study evaluated the success rate (clinical pregnancy rate) after removing the cervical mucus with a swab and with a cannula, as well as after keeping the cervical mucus, for the embryo transfer. However, no significant differences in the success rate were found among these different evaluated groups.
