Alloimmune sterility is a type of sterility characterized by the fact that the embryo is recognized as foreign and is not detected as its own. As a consequence of this foreign recognition of the embryo, antibody formation occurs and thus spontaneous gestational loss occurs.
This is caused by an increase in NK cells and is sometimes due to immune disorders such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or vasculitis.
