In order to take a pregnancy test after artificial insemination (AI) treatment, you must wait approximately two weeks. This waiting period is also known as beta-waiting and it is a period of tension to know if the insemination will be successful.
During this time of nerves and uncertainty, it is recommended that the woman or the couple looking for activities to keep themselves distracted and, thus, the wait will be much more bearable. In addition, it is advisable to avoid excessive efforts such as carrying weight. It is also a good idea to share feelings with family and friends, as well as to have sex after AI.
