The main recommendation that the woman should take into account before the anaesthesia for the ovarian puncture is to follow all the instructions given by the medical team of the chosen assisted reproduction centre.
However, some of the general recommendations include:
- Discuss in detail any pathology and if you are taking any type of medication.
- Fast for 6-8 hours beforehand.
- Go accompanied.
Once at home after the follicular puncture, it is advisable to rest and not to exert yourself during the day.
