Success rates of donor IUI versus partner sperm IUI

As we can see in this graph, the delivery rate for each artificial insemination cycle performed is higher when donor sperm is used than when the partner's sperm is used. However, the age of the woman is a very important factor in this success rate, since in women over 40 years of age there is no difference between the two treatments.

For example, in women under 35 years of age, AI with donor sperm has a delivery rate of 17.6%, while this rate in conjugal AI is reduced to 10.5%. In contrast, in women over 40 years of age, the rate of delivery with both donor sperm and male partner sperm is much lower, being 7.3% and 6.5%, respectively.

These data have been obtained from the National Activity Registry 2019-SEF Registry.
