Baby feeding himself in baby led weaning

BLW is a method of complementary feeding, i.e. to gradually introduce food to the baby (while maintaining breastfeeding). Complementary feeding can be started as early as 6 months (if the baby is ready), since before that the baby must be exclusively breastfed.

The BLW is characterized by the fact that the food is not offered in the form of mashed food as in the traditional method, but in the form of soft solids (adapted to his level of development) that he will pick up himself with his little hands. For this reason, the baby plays an active role in his feeding and decides when and how much to eat, just as he did during the period of exclusive breastfeeding.
