There is no international policy dictating how to proceed when undertaking surrogacy, but each country has its own set of regulations governing this fertility treatment. Out of the countries in which it is allowed, the law can vary; in fact, while certain countries allow the use of donor gametes for a surrogacy process, others force the intended parents to use their own gametes.
