How is IVF with gender selection done?

By Silvia Azaña Gutiérrez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 07/05/2019

To carry out IVF with gender selection (in the states where it is permitted), it is necessary to perform preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). After this test, a euploid embryo can be transferred and the gender will be known, allowing the preferred gender to be chosen.
