Is the baby going to look like me when using donated eggs?

Michelle Emblenton, biochemist at inviTRA,answers us if the baby will look like the mother in an egg donation:

It's a very understandable question to want your baby to look like you when you are using donor eggs and clinics will do their very very best to find a donor that resembles you and look at physical characteristics: hair color, eye color, skin tone, perhaps do a biometric facial analysis (if this technology is available) and an immunological analysis to make sure that blood groups and Rh groups are matching. But don't forget: although genetics are important in the development of the baby, their environment and their upbringing also affect their character and who they are.
