Ovarian cysts require surgical removal?

By Cristina Algarra Goosman B.Sc., M.Sc. (psychologist).
Last Update: 01/27/2022

Cristina Algarra, psychologist specialized in assisted reproduction for InviTRA, explains in this video if all cysts require surgical intervention:

Not all of the cysts do, it is very important to know their characteristics of them, their size, and their location.

The physician will most likely try not to remove it surgically and see if it shrinks or gets bigger. Once that is identified if we can wait we do so and if not it would have to be surgically removed.

Of course, trying to remove the less amount of tissue possible, but taking into account that you may lose an ovary or both
