Can a regular blood test detect STDs?

I had unprotected sex the last month with various guys and I'm a little worried I might have caught something. My vagina itches and my vaginal discharge is different, it's also smelly. I don't know if I just go to my regular GP or to the gyn. Help would be appreciated!!
