How long does it take to be matched once you are in the donor program?

Hi there,

I’m Brandy from the US and I am interested in donating my eggs, but I’d like to know how long will it take to be matched once I am in the donor program. I’m doing it through private clinic, but I don’t know if the process is too long, or if it will go fastly. I don’t mind waiting a little bit, but I’d also like to get started ASAP, because I think now I’m at the proper age to get pregnant or at least to do so within the next 12 months, if possible.

I’m afraid this is not predictable, since most fertility clinics have numerous parents to be in the queue, waiting to find the right donor for them at any given point. It depends on the criteria of the parents to be, and as you may know, in the USA all possible options can take place. While some donors are matched within 1 single week after applying, others have no choice but to wait a whole year waiting to be matched at some point.
