How many eggs do you get with egg retrieval?

Hi there, my wife went for egg collection today and she had 8 eggs retrieved, do you think this is a good first step toward pregnancy? Is there any ideal IVF egg retrieval number? I'm scared we might end up needing donor eggs to have a baby... Pls help!
