Is there need for injection after embryo transfer

After my embryo was transferred, the nurse told me to return to the hospital after three days for injection. I thought the progesterone insert was enough. Is that normal?

After a transfer, hormones play a crucial role in the implantation and initial development of the pregnancy. If these hormones are not present or there is not the necessary amount it would compromise implantation and the achievement of pregnancy.

I imagine that your fertility clinic has seen any deficiencies and will need to administer medication to help you get pregnant.
