    Hello,

I’m just wondering what colour does a healthy sperm have? I started to observe a somewhat yellow-ish colour and now I’m anxious about if I could have turned infertile!
    Pls help!!

  2. Hi!

Healthy sperm is normally white or whithish gray in color. However, for some reasons, your sperm may turn into a yellowish tone:

Urine in the semen: Sometimes, urine can be left behind in the urethra. If this happens, urine and semen can mix as semen passes out. Also, if you suffer from Jaundice for example, your skin and eyes may appear yellow. This condition also have effects of the color of your sperm. Jaundice might be caused by underlying conditions such as viruses or autoummune disorders, among other things.

Other conditions, that affect your semen color, are: Leukocytospermia, prostate infections, and lifestyle factors suchs as alcohol and tobacco.

Normally, a temporary yellowish color is nothing to worry about. Should your sperm remain yellow for more than two weeks, though, we strongly advice you to see a doctor, as there might be an underlying condition behind your change in semen color.

    All the best
