Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is technique by which we can choose the gender the embryo right after being fertilized in the laboratory. It involves the removal of a cell from the embryo and the analysis of its chromosomes.
This method is highly accurate. For this reason, it is the most widely used technique for sex selection in those countries where doing so is permitted.
