The Harvard plate is a graphic representation that indicates, in a quite clear way, the amount that should be ingested of each of the main groups of nutrients to be balanced.
Thus, half of what is going to be ingested should be vegetables; a quarter, proteins and the other quarter, farinaceous (bread, rice, pasta, potato... better in its integral version).
In addition, olive oil should be used for cooking or seasoning and the meal should be accompanied by water.
The total amount eaten (respecting the proportions of the Harvard plate) will depend on the child's age and appetite.
