Nausea and vomiting are a very common discomfort among pregnant women, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy. Subsequently, it usually begins to subside at the beginning of the second trimester of pregnancy.
This discomfort is most common in the morning, which is why it is common to speak of morning sickness and vomiting of pregnancy. However, it can occur at any time of the day.
However, when this nausea and vomiting is constant, prevents eating and causes the pregnant woman to lose weight and become dehydrated, a specialist should be consulted. This may be a case of hyperemesis gravidarum.
