British assisted reproduction law

The policies governing assisted reproductive technologies (ART) in relation to donor gamete use are defined in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008, which contains the amendments of the HFE Act 1990. The HFEA (Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority) is the regulator overseeing how are fertility treatments carried out within the country.
