Hypospadias is an alteration that appears in males from birth and consists of a different location of the urinary meatus from the normal one. The further away from the glans is the urethral opening, the more severe the hypospadias.
There are three types of hypospadias: posterior, medial and anterior. The mildest form of hypospadias is anterior or glandular hypospadias, while the most severe form is posterior or penescrotal hypospadias.
