Artificial insemination (AI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques are widely used in assisted reproduction. However, there are certain differences between AI and IVF.
On the one hand, AI is a simpler technique than IVF, which will make the requirements and indications different between the two techniques.
On the other hand, IVF requires undergoing a simple surgical intervention called follicular puncture, which is not necessary in AI.
Finally, the success rate of AI is lower than that of IVF, although both techniques currently help many patients overcome their infertility problems.
