Although in vitro fertilization (IVF) has high success rates and is an option for achieving the desired pregnancy in many people, this reproductive alternative also has some drawbacks. Some of these are listed below:
- Need for administration of hormonal medication, with possible side effects.
- It requires surgical intervention to obtain the eggs, even though it is a simple process.
- The price of the treatment is high, due to the whole process and the hormonal medication.
