Microplastics are small fragments originating from the degradation of plastic materials. These microplastics can enter the human body through different routes: with food, by inhalation, and by absorption through the skin.
In fact, the presence of these microplastics has been demonstrated in blood, placenta, semen, and follicular fluid.
