Preseminal fluid is a clear fluid that is expelled from the male urethra before ejaculation. Among the functions of this pre-ejaculatory fluid, we can indicate the following:
- To lubricate the urethra for the subsequent outflow of semen and to provide lubrication for sexual intercourse.
- Neutralize the acidity of possible urine debris in the male urethra, as well as the vaginal environment.
However, the amount of pre-seminal fluid is not determined and may vary from a few drops to a considerable amount.
