It is a disease caused by a parasitic organism named Toxoplasma gondii. Even though this infection is one of the most wide-spread in the human being, it often goes unnoticed. The symptoms of this disease are similar to those of the flu and they can appear once during our lives. It is specially dangerous for a pregnant woman since problems may arise if her immune system is not working properly and even cause a series of severe fetal disorders or even lead to a miscarriage.
