The semen freezing process is quite simple. The male will collect his semen sample in a sterile jar by masturbation. It is important that the male maintain a period of abstinence for 3-5 days.
The semen sample is then delivered to the laboratory for processing and freezing in liquid nitrogen. Frozen semen samples are stored in nitrogen tanks and can remain frozen for an indefinite period of time.
