Infertility or secondary infertility refers to the inability to achieve a new pregnancy despite having already had a baby. The passage of time and increasing maternal age is one of the main causes of secondary infertility, but not the only one.
As time goes by, the woman's age increases and her ovarian reserve is reduced until it is completely depleted at the menopausal stage. In addition, the presence of endometriosis or diabetes can also be reasons for secondary infertility.
