According to the Islamic sharia, turning to assisted conception to achieve pregnancy is a morally acceptable practice as long as the only gametes of the partners in marriage as used.
Conversely, donor conception is not allowed, and it is considered to be another way of committing adultery. Moreover, It is considered to disobey the Islamic principles of purity and soundness, as well as the preservation of the genealogical line.
