Sperm freezing has become a controversial assisted reproductive technology in the past few years.

Thus, it is forbidden whenever it is used outside the boundaries of marriage.

Likewise, using frozen sperm to inseminate a woman whose husband has passed away or suffers from brain death if he has not granted his explicit approval.
