Selecting the egg donor

Before a woman can donate her eggs, she must be accepted by the fertility clinic. To do so, it is necessary to comply with a series of requirements established.

During the selection process, the candidate for egg donor has to pass different interviews with the clinic staff. Firstly, a donation coordinator will make an informative visit to meet the woman, explain what the procedure consists of and check if she complies with the legal requirements. The second interview is with a psychologist who assesses whether the woman is mentally capable and prepared to donate eggs. Finally, the gynecologist indicates a series of medical tests to check her health status and to be accepted as an egg donor.
