Male sterility due to testicular factor refers to those alterations that occur and directly affect the testicles. This type of alterations can appear from birth (congenital) as in the case of microdeletions in the AZF zone of the Y chromosome or Klinefelter's syndrome.
In addition, problems in the testicles can arise in an acquired manner. This is what happens when a male suffers from varicocele or orchitis.
