Teratozoospermia can be classified based on the number of sperm with normal morphology:
- Mild teratozoospermia
- The percent of sperm with normal morphology is 10-14%.
- Moderate teratozoospermia
- The percent of sperm with normal morphology is 5-9%.
- Severe teratozoospermia
- The percent of sperm with normal morphology is fewer than 15%.
These percentages define the fertility potential of a man considering the shape of the sperm he produces.
