Once the egg donor candidate becomes a donor, the egg retrieval process will begin. First, the egg donor will be administered several hormonal drugs to stimulate the activity of the ovaries to make multiple follicles.
When the ovarian follicles reach a size of approximately 16-18 mm, the ovarian puncture is scheduled. This is a surgical procedure that takes about 30 minutes to remove the eggs.
