Prolonged use of Dutasteride and persistent damage to seminal quality

When the drug Dutasteride (for androgenetic alopecia) is taken for a prolonged period, it can have more persistent effects on seminal quality. When a group of patients stopped taking the drug for 6 months, some recovery was observed. However, there are certain points at which treatment with Dutasteride would produce persistent damage, even after 6 months of having discontinued the treatment.

These points would be 17.8 months for a more persistent effect on seminal volume and 2.3 months for a more constant effect on sperm motility.
