During pregnancy, it is common for women to experience some cravings due to nutrient deficiencies. For example, when a woman has low sugar levels, her body may crave sweet foods such as chocolate. Similarly, if the pregnant woman has a lack of calcium, she will crave cheese; while if she has a lack of sodium, she may crave potato chips.
However, it is totally untrue that unsatisfied pregnancy cravings will lead to birthmarks in the baby.
