A new study has shown how, in patients with low ovarian reserve, those women who did not have a vitamin D deficiency had better in vitro fertilization (IVF) results, such as a better egg retrieval rate and a better normal fertilization rate.
Therefore, vitamin D supplementation before IVF for patients with low ovarian reserve and deficiency could be an interesting and inexpensive strategy to optimize results.
