Tubal ligation or an obstruction in the fallopian tubes is not an impediment to IVF. On the contrary, IVF is the recommended fertility treatment in these cases.
The explanation is that with IVF the embryos are deposited directly into the woman's uterus, so the fallopian tubes are not needed.
