During gestation the amount of amniotic fluid changes. However, in some women there are alterations in the amount of amniotic fluid. It may me due to an excess (Polyhydramnios) or a small amount (Oligohydramnios). Problems may be caused in the baby-to-be by these alterations, reaching foetal death in most severe cases.
