The treatment of oligohydramnios may vary depending on the cause of the oligohydramnios, if known. However, the specialist will perform frequent monitoring to evaluate the baby and the evolution of the amniotic fluid index (AFI).
On the other hand, the woman may have to rest and may be asked to increase her fluid intake.
Finally, the gynecologist will evaluate the best time for delivery to occur.
