What is andrology?

Andrology is the branch of medicine whose purpose is the study, exploration, and research of aspects related to male reproduction. Therefore, andrology evaluates any aspect related to male sterility and infertility.

It should be borne in mind that andrology and urology are not the same things. The urologist is in charge of studying diseases and injuries that occur in the urinary system, whether in the man or the woman. However, the objective of the andrologist is to evaluate the sexual health of the man at any age.
